“Spending one year working in Luksuz taught me what it means to collaborate with others and what it means to bloom individually, too. I arrived there wanting to learn as much as I could about filmmaking and Luksuz made me fall in love with a creative way to make documentaries. At Luksuz, I always felt that there was space for my attempts at expression, despite the distress they caused me when they were not as I expected and the joy we shared when something good was made. It was like Luksuz was a giant and I could climb up their shoulders to see further and hide behind their leg when I needed to.”
